AUXSPACE was founded after the project HyCOMET had reached its end.
HyCOMET was a project within the DLR STERN program for students to build, fly and recover a rocket.

The HyCOMET project was a huge success, although the rocket never flew, a lot of students gained knowledge in the area of aerospace.
To provide the know-how, that accumulated over the last five years, former team members came together to found a club to secure the knowledge and provide the opportunity for following students to work in the area of areospace.
